Power Management

The Power Management menu lets you configure the system power-management feature. It works only under APM mode.

IMPORTANT:If an ACPI-aware operating system such as Windows 98 or Windows 2000 is installed in ACPI mode, the operating system will use the ACPI interfaces. Then the settings in Power Management page is non-effective.

The following screen shows the Power Management parameters and their default settings:

The following table describes the parameters found in this menu. Settings in boldface are the default and suggested settings.

resumes system operation.

 

 

 

 

Sleep Mode

Lets you specify the power-saving mode

period of inactivity. This parameter is

 

 

configurable only if the System Sleep Timer

 

 

is enabled.

 

 

 

 

Power Switch < 4 sec.

Lets you specify whether to automatically

Suspend mode when the power switch is

 

 

pressed for less than 4 seconds.

 

 

 

 

System Wake-up Event

Lets you specify the activity that will resume
