Viewing ADSL Status

Reference the following table for a description of the System Status parameters.

ADSL Link Status

Shows the status of the ADSL connection between the modem and the service

 

provider.

Alarms

Identifies conditions on the ADSL link that are reported as an alarm such as: Loss of

 

Sync (LOS), Loss of Frame (LOF), Loss of Margin (LOM), or Loss of Cell Delineation

 

(LCD).

Current SNR Margin

Shows the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) margin (signal clarity), in decibels, at which

 

the modem is currently operating.

Min SNR Margin

Indicates the minimum SNR margin allowed before the ADSL MAR LED on the

 

modem front panel lights.

Errored Seconds

Shows the total number of seconds that ADSL link errors occurred during a 24-hour

 

period or since the ADSL link was reset.

Unavailable Seconds

Shows the total number of seconds the ADSL link was not available for transmission

 

since either the modem was powered on or the ADSL statistics were last cleared.

Line Attenuation

Shows the loss of signal power in the transmission in decibels.

Data Rate

Shows the rate of data transmission in kilobits per second (kbps).

 

 

1From the adsl menu, click status to open the ADSL Status window.

2Monitor the ADSL Status.

3Click Refresh to update the statistics or Clear to clear the statistics.
