Activating and Deactivating Sessions

ACTIVATING AND DEACTIVATING SESSIONS

Activate sessions as you want to use them. Also, you may want to de-activate some sessions, while leaving other sessions active. Follow one of the two methods to activate and deactivate sessions.

From the WAN Connections window:

1From the wan menu, click connections to open the WAN Connections

window.

2Select the sessions you want active then click Connect. The modem sets up the session with the service provider.

3When dynamically acquiring an IP address from the service provider, the session receives the IP address at this time.

From the Brouter WAN Port Configuration window:

1From the wan menu, click connections to open the WAN Connections window.

2Click Edit on the box adjacent to the session to activate or deactivate.

3To activate the session, place a checkmark in the Session Enable box by clicking in it. To deactivate the session, clear the checkmark.

4Click OK to accept the changes.
