5Configure the maintenance terminal to the following communication settings:

9600 baud

No parity

8 data bits

1 stop bit

Hardware flow control to OFF

6If necessary, press CTRL + R to refresh the HiGain HDSL2 logon screen.

The Logon Screen

The HiGain maintenance terminal screens allow you to monitor, provision, and troubleshoot an H2TU-C-388 List 1 system.

To select a menu from the HiGain HDSL2 logon screen (Figure 3 on page 12), do one of the following:

Type the first letter of the menu.

 

Use the

arrow keys to select the menu and press ENTER .

 

Table 3 summarizes the navigational keys. They are also listed in the onscreen Help menu. Table 4 on page 12

 

describes the Logon screen menus.

(a) Legacy management units require use of control keys instead of arrow keys.

Most VT100 emulation programs support a print screen option. For Windows-based programs, such as ProComm or Hyperterminal, do the following:

1Highlight the screen that you wish to print.

2Click File, then Print.

3In the Print dialog box, choose Selection as the Print Range.

4Click OK to print.

For printing procedures for other programs, contact the appropriate vendor.
