Preparing the Analyzer for Use

lTo transport the analyzer

Disconnect the IF section from the RF section and package each section using the original factory packaging or packaging identical to the factory packaging. Containers and materials identical to those used in factory packaging are

lavailable through Hewlett-Packard offices.

If returning the analyzer to Hewlett-Packard for service, attach a tag to each container describing the following:

Type of service required Return address

lModel number Full serial number

In any correspondence, refer to the analyzer by model number and both serial numbers.

lMark the containers FRAGILE to ensure careful handling.

If necessary to package the analyzer in containers other than original packaging, observe the following (use of other packaging is not recommended):

Wrap each section in heavy paper or anti-static plastic. Protect the front panels with cardboard.

lUse double-wall cartons made of at least 350-pound test material. Cushion each section to prevent damage.

Caution	Do not use styrene pellets in any shape as packing material for the analyzer.
	The pellets do not adequately cushion the analyzer and do not prevent the
	analyzer from shifting in the carton. In addition, the pellets create static
	electricity which can damage electronic components.
