OPERATION

6.1 Connecting Mower-Lift Type

1. Make sure the tract or is equip p ed with th e cor -
rect PTO shaft. Change shafts if needed.
2. Shorten or remo ve the tractor drawbar to avoid
interference when raising and lowering the
mower.
3. Board the tractor and start the engin e. Position
the tractor to the mower with the 3-point lift
arms positioned at the same height and to the
outside of the mower hitch pins. Note: Set the
3-point lift control to “Position Control” so that
the lift arms maintain a constant height when
attach ing the mower . See th e tractor Operator’s
Manual for correct settings when attaching 3-
point equipment.
4. Turn off the tractor engine and dismount.
5. One lift arm at a time, align arm end hole
between the set of A-frame lift lugs. In sert hitch
pin through the lug and arm holes and insert
retaining pin into hitch pin.
6. Walk around to opposite side and repeat proce-
dure for remaining lift arm and hitch pin.
7. Extend or r etract 3-p oint top lin k to align its end
hole with the holes of the mower’s top link.
Insert the top link hitch pin and insert retaining
pin into hitch pin.
Start tractor only when properly seated in the Tractor seat. Starting a
tractor in gear can result in injury or death. Read the Tractor operators
manual for prop er starting instructions. (SG-13)

6. CONNECTING THE MOWER TO THE TRACTOR

Use extreme caution when connecting the mower to the tractor. The mower should be securely resting at
ground level or setting on blocks. Keep hands and feet from under the mower deck and clear of pinch points
between the tractor hitch arms and mower pins. OPS-R-0001
Always shut the Tractor completely down, place the transmission in park, and set the
parking brake before you or anyone else attempts to connect or disconnect the Implement
