To search for a song in the album of an artist

•Touching [ ] of ALL will play back all songs in the list when you are in a hierarchy with an asterisk “*” (see table on the previous page).
•Touching [ ] of ALL will display the search list in the next hierarchy.
•In search mode, you can jump to an assigned position by touching the direct search bar for quick search. For details, refer to “Direct Search Function” (page 60).
•When search is made during M.I.X. play, the M.I.X. play mode will be cancelled.
Direct Search Function
The unit’s direct search function can be used to search for an album, song, etc., more efficiently. In PLAYLISTS/ARTISTS/ALBUMS/ SONGS/PODCASTS/GENRES/COMPOSERS/AUDIOBOOKS mode, you can quickly target any song.

*1 Titles are listed alphabetically, and can be skipped every 200 titles with the same beginning alphabetical character If there are fewer than 200 titles, titles beginning with the next alphabetical character are selected for the USB connection mode (iPod mode). e.g. press [], switch to the section beginning with alphabet B from A.
List is scrolled one page at a time for the iPod directly connection mode
In search mode, touch anywhere on the direct search bar, or touch and drag [ ] to the desired place.
The active point moves to the specified place, and the search list will be changed according to the selected song position.
<SONG search example>
If there are 100 songs in your iPod, all the songs are allocated in the direct search bar.
Suppose the song you are searching for is located at around the 50th song of your library: touch around the middle (50%) of the direct search bar to jump to the song you desire.
Selecting Playlist/Artist/Album/Genre/ Composer/Category
Playlist/Artist/Album/Genre/Composer/Category*2 can be easily changed.
For example, if you listen to a song from a selected album, the album can be changed.

] to select the desired Playlist/Artist/ Album/Genre/Composer/Category*2.
*2 CATEGORY can be changed only when an iPod compatible video is connected by using USB connector.
•If search selection mode is not activated, a SONG search is not possible.
•If an album is selected from an artist search, the album can be searched.
•During shuffle (M.I.X.) playback, this operation is not possible.
Random Play Shuffle (M.I.X.)
The Shuffle function of the iPod is displayed as M.I.X. on the
Shuffle ALL:
All songs in the iPod are played back in random sequence. Any one song does not play back again until all songs have been played back.
Shuffle Albums:
The songs on each album are played back in proper order. Upon completion of all the songs on the album, the next album is selected randomly. This continues until all albums have been played.
Shuffle Songs:
Song shuffle randomly plays back songs within a selected category (playlist, album, etc.). The songs within the category are played just once until all songs have been played.

•If a song is selected in the album search mode before selecting Shuffle (M.I.X.), the songs will not play back randomly even when Shuffle album is selected.
*This operation cannot be performed for the video iPod connected through the USB connector.
