Installing the AXIS 250S

Connect an Ethernet cable to the AXIS 250S and attach it to the network.

Connect the power cable to the unit and

connect it to your main power supply.

Approximately 10-15 seconds after connecting the power supply, the message ‘Reply from 172.21.1.200...’ - or similar, is returned within the window. Ensure that the Power Indicator is permanently lit and that the Network Indicator flashes intermittently.

Exit ping. The installation is now complete. You can now access the server directly from your browser, as described below.

Client System Requirements

Client computers that will be viewing the video stream from the AXIS 250S MPEG-2 Video Server should meet the following hardware and software requirements:

Intel Pentium III 500MHz processor, or better

128 MB RAM

AGP Graphics card with 16 MB video memory and support for DirectDraw®

32-bit color, if running more than one video stream at a time

Windows® 2000 or Windows XP

Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher

Windows MediaPlayer 7.1 or higher

DirectX® v 8.1 or higher
