UTP: (Unshielded Twisted Pair)
A type of cable using, usually 8, coloured wires twisted in pairs but has no shielding against RF noise.
WAN: (Wide Area Network)
A connection, or series of connections or other LAN's that are located in different locations, even different countries, but act as a single network. These are normally connected via modem or Private network links, AC15 for example.
