Turning the machine on and off
When the machine is id le, you can turn it on an d off by pressing the
On/Off key. In Off mode, no machine operations will be available.
Even if you turned the machine off, it will periodically clean the print
head to preserve print quali ty.
Turning the machine off
Press and hold down the On/Off key
until the LCD shows:
The LCD light will go off.
Turning the machine on
Press and hold down the On/Off key
until the LCD shows:
The LCD will show the date and tim e (Fax mode).
On/Off Setting
You can customize the machin e’s On/Off key. The default setting is
Fax Receive:Off. Your machine will not work when it is switch ed
Off, but it will purge the ink head periodically. If you turn this setting
to Fax Receive:On, you can receive faxes or calls even when the
machine is switched Off.

Press Menu/Set, 1, 6.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select On (or Off).

Press Menu/Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
Even in Off mode, you can receive fax and telephone calls by
customizing the On/Off key as explained below.
If you have connected a n external telepho ne or TAD, it is alwa ys
available.
