5 Sending a Fax

Entering Fax mode

When you want to send a fax, or change fax send or receive settings, press the

(Fax) key to illuminate it in blue.

The LCD shows:

Speed Dial

Press d or c to scroll through the Fax key options. Some functions are only available when sending monochrome faxes.

Faxing from the ADF

a Press (Fax).

b Place the document face down in the ADF. (See Using the ADF on page 21.)

c Enter the fax number using the dial pad. You can also enter the fax number by pressing Speed Dial, press the number you want and press

Send a fax.

Note

You can preview a fax message before sending it by setting Preview to On. For details, see How to preview an outgoing fax on page 36.

d Press Mono Start or Colour Start. The machine starts scanning the document.

Note

•To cancel, press Stop/Exit.

•If you send a mono fax when the memory is full it will be sent in real time.
