Manual Exposure Shooting

You can manually set the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO speed for movie shooting. Using manual exposure to shoot movies is for advanced users.

Set the Mode Dial to <k>.

 

X The reflex mirror will make a sound,

 

then the image will appear on the

 

LCD monitor.

 

2 Select [Movie exposure].

 

Press the <M> button and under

 

the [n] tab, select [Movie

 

exposure], then press <0>.

3 Select [Manual].

 

Select [Manual], then press <0>.

 

Exit the menu.

 

4 Set the shutter speed and

<6> <5>

aperture.

 

To set the shutter speed, turn the

 

<6> dial. The settable shutter

 

speeds depend on the frame rate

 

<9>.

: 1/4000 sec. - 1/60 sec.

 

6/ 5/ 4: 1/4000 sec. - 1/30 sec.

 

To set the aperture, turn the <5>

dial. If it cannot be set, press the

<R> button (8), then turn the <5> dial.
