Special Modes for Other Purposes

Images Displayed During Playback

Each set of images shot continuously is managed as a single group, and only the first image in that group will be displayed. To indicate that the

image is part of a group, [] is displayed in the upper left of the screen.

If you erase a grouped image (=240), all images in the group

are also erased. Be careful when erasing images.

Grouped images can be played back individually and ungrouped (=230).

Protecting (=236) a grouped image will protect all images in the group.

Grouped images can be viewed individually when played back using Image Search (=225) or Smart Shuffle (=235). In this case, images are temporarily ungrouped.

Grouped images cannot be sent individually (=75), and Face ID information cannot be edited (=231). They cannot be tagged as favorites (=244), edited (=243 – 255), categorized (=245), assigned as a start-up image (=266), printed (=286), specified for printing individually (=294), or added to a photobook (=296). To do these things, either view grouped images individually (=230) or cancel grouping (=230) first.
