a: Manual Exposure

You can set both the shutter speed and aperture manually as desired. Set the exposure while referring to the exposure level scale. This method is called manual exposure.

1Tap the shooting mode icon on the screen’s upper left corner.

The shooting mode selection screen will appear.

2Tap [a] on the screen.

3 Set the shutter speed and

aperture.

COPYWhen you tap the shutter speed and aperture, the setting screen will

appear.

Tap [ ]/[Z] or turn the <5> dial to set the shutter speed and aperture. Press the <ZO> button to set the shutter speed and aperture. You can also select the shutter speed and aperture and set it. (When selected, the pointer icon <c> is displayed above the value that can be changed.) Turn the <5> dial to set the shutter speed or aperture.

4Focus the subject.

Press the shutter button halfway. The exposure level mark <N> indicates how far the current exposure level is from the standard exposure level.
