yFlash Exposure Compensation

Set flash exposure compensation if the flash exposure of the subject does not come out as desired. You can set the exposure compensation up to ±2 stops in 1/3-stop increments.

1 Displayscreen. the BQuick Control

2 Select [y].

Press the <Wj/i>/<XL>/

<YA>/<ZO> button to select [y*]. X [Flash exposure comp.] will be

displayed at the bottom.

3 Set the exposure compensation amount.

To make the flash exposure brighter, turn the <5> dial to the right. (Increased exposure) To make it darker, turn the <5> dial to the left. (Decreased exposure) Alternatively, you can press <Q/ 0> to display the setting screen. Tap [Y]/[Z] or turn the <5> dial to adjust the compensation amount.

XWhen you tap [2], the <y> icon will appear.

After taking the picture, cancel the flash exposure compensation by setting it back to 0.

If [A3: Auto Lighting Optimizer] (p.159) is set to any setting other than [Disable], the image may look bright even if a decreased exposure compensation or decreased flash exposure compensation is set.

You can also set flash exposure compensation with [Flash function settings] in [A1: External Speedlite control] (p.222).
