You can use the image effects to change the color saturation and con- trast to record movies and photos with special color effects.

•Select a recording program other than the Special Scene recording pro- grams.

*When you select [8_ Custom Effect],set the custom image effect with the bllow- ing procedurebefore touching [X],

To set the custom image effect

1Touch [+1], [-1] or [0] to set the desired [Color Depth] level.

2Touch [_1] or [ll_] to select [Sharpness], [Contrast] and [Brightness] and adjust their levels the same way.

Options (* Default value)

[_FF Off]* Records with no image enhancing effects. [ev Vivid] Emphasizes the contrast and color saturation. [8, Neutral] Tones down the contrast and color saturation.

[£,s Low Sharpening] Records subjects with softened outlines.

[Ps_ Soft Skin Detail] Softens the details in the skin tone area for a more complimentary appearance. To obtain the best effect, use this setting when recording a person in close-up. Note that areas similar to the skin color may lack in detail.

[8c Custom Effect] Allows you to adjust the color depth, bright- ness, contrast, and sharpness of the image.

[Color Depth]: (-1) Shallower, (+1) Richer.

[Sharpness]: (-1) Softer, (+1) Sharper.

[Contrast]: (-1) Softer, (+1) Sharper.

[Brightness]: (-1) Darker, (+1) Brighter.
