5Preliminary on-site checkout

Checking external connections

Before removing the side and front panel of the ColorPASS to check internal components, first eliminate the most obvious sources of problems. Make sure that:

All interface cables to the system are plugged into the proper connectors on the back panel of the ColorPASS (see Figure 5-2).

The power cable is plugged into the wall power outlet.

The LED on the network connector is blinking to indicate network activity.
