Turning Off the Printer

Using the Printer Near Appliances and Fluorescent Lamps Appendix

Turning Off the Printer

To avoid printer malfunction always use the POWER button to turn the printer on and off. Never remove the power cord from the power outlet until you have turned off the printer by pressing the POWER button. After the POWER/ERROR light goes out, you can unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

Using the Printer Near Appliances and Fluorescent Lamps

Allow at least 6 inches clearance between the printer and another appliance or a fluorescent lamp. Electrical noise generated by a fluorescent lamp placed too close to the printer could cause the printer to malfunction.
