Section 3 - Configuration

Routing

The Routing page allows you to specify custom routes that determine how data is moved around your network.

 

RIP SETTING

RIP:

Select this box to enable routing.

 

Ripv1: Protocol in which the IP address is

 

routed through the internet.

 

RIPv2: Enhanced version of RIPv1 with added

 

features such as Authentication, Routing

 

Domain, Next Hop Forwarding, and Subnet-

 

mask Exchange.

 

ROUTING RULES

ID:

Identifies the rule.

Destination:

Enter in the IP of the specified network that you

 

want to access using the static route.

Subnet Mask:

Enter in the subnet mask to be used for the

 

specified net work.

Gateway:

Enter in the gateway IP address to the specified network.

Hop:

Enter in the amount of hops it will take to reach the specified network.

 

Note: In a transmission path, each link is terminated at a network device such as a router or gateway. The

 

number of hops equals the number of routers or gateways that data must pass through before reaching the

 

destination.

Enable:

Select this box to enable the rule.
