Replacing the Memory Module(s)
Procedure
1Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the
memory-module connector.
2Slide the memory module firmly into the connector at a 45-degree angle, and press
the memory module down until it clicks into place. If you do not hear the click,
remove the memory module and reinstall it.
NOTE: If the memory module is not installed properly, the computer may
not boot.
3Insert the tabs on the memory-module shield into the slots on the
system-board shield and then slide the memory-module shield toward the bottom
of the computer. Ensure that the screw hole on the memory-module shield aligns
with the screw hole on the system-board shield.
4Replace the screw that secures the memory-module shield to the
system-board shield.
