17 Coin-Cell Battery

WARNING: A new battery can explode if it is incorrectly installed. Replace the
battery only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the
manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
Removing the Coin-Cell Battery
Prerequisites
1Remove the stand cover. See "Removing the Stand Cover" on page 15.
2Remove the stand. See "Removing the Stand" on page 17.
3Remove the back cover. See "Removing the Back Cover" on page 19.
4Remove the system-board shield. See "Removing the System-Board Shield" on
page 35.
Procedure
1Locate the battery socket on the system board. See "System Board Components"
on page 8.
2Press the battery-release lever away from the battery until the battery pops up.
3Lift the battery away from the battery socket.
