Replacing the Antenna-In Connector

CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer).

Removing the Antenna-In Connector

1.Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

2.Remove the back cover (see Removing the Back Cover).

3.Follow the instructions from step 2 to step 5 in Removing the Front Stand.

4.Follow the instructions from step 4 to step 8 in Removing the System-Board Shield.

5.Remove the hex nut that secures the antenna-in connector to the system-board shield.

6.Release the antenna-in connector from the slot on the system-board shield.

7.Lift the antenna-in connector along with its cable away from the system-board shield.

Replacing the Antenna-In Connector

1.Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

2.Slide the antenna-in connector into the slot on the system-board shield.

3.Replace the hex nut that secures the antenna-in connector to the system-board shield.

4.Follow the instructions from step 4 to step 8 in Replacing the System-Board Shield.

5.Follow the instructions from step 4 to step 5 in Replacing the Front Stand.
