分段大小迁移

分段大小是指存储阵列在将数据写入下一个物理磁盘之前,在虚拟磁盘的 单个物理磁盘上写入的数据量 (以 KB 为单位)。分段大小的有效值为 8 KB16 KB32 KB64 KB128 KB256 KB 512 KB

动态分段大小迁移可实现更改给定虚拟磁盘的分段大小。如果创建了虚拟 磁盘,则根据 RAID 级别和预期使用等因素设置默认 分段大小。如果分 段大小的使用不符合需求,可更改默认值 (128 KB)

考虑更改分段大小时,有两个情况说明了不同的限制方法:

如果 I/O 活动超出分段大小,可增加分段大小以减少单次 I/O 需要的磁 盘数。将单个物理磁盘用于单个请求可解放磁盘以使其为其他请求提 供服务,尤其是在有多个用户访问数据库或存储环境时。

如果在大型的单用户 I/O 环境 (例如多媒体应用程序存储)中使用虚 拟磁盘,那么可在将单个 I/O 请求用于单个数据磁条 (分段大小乘以 用于数据存储的磁盘组中的物理磁盘的数目)时优化性能。在这种情 况下,多个磁盘用于相同请求,但每个磁盘只被访问一次。

虚拟磁盘容量扩充

在配置虚拟磁盘时,可根据期望存储的数据量选择容量。不过可能需要通 过向磁盘组添加可用容量来增加标准虚拟磁盘的虚拟磁盘容量。这样可为 新的虚拟磁盘创建更多未使用的空间,或者扩充现有虚拟磁盘。

磁盘组扩充

由于存储阵列支持可热插拔的物理磁盘,因此在存储阵列保持联机时可一 次为每个磁盘组添加两个物理磁盘。在整个操作过程中,虚拟磁盘组、虚 拟磁盘及物理磁盘上的数据都是可访问的。在整个磁盘组上动态地重新分 配数据和增加的未使用可用空间。 RAID 属性也会整体重新应用于磁盘组。

磁盘组碎片整理

碎片整理可将磁盘组中的可用容量合并到一个连续区域。碎片整理不会更 改数据在虚拟磁盘上的存储方式。
