HEARTH ASSEMBLY
Before operating the appliance the lamp bulbs must be inspected and lava rock treatments, if desired, may be added as follows:
1.Lift the log bed off the hearth base to gain access to the lamp fixtures, (the log bed is attached with contact magnets only).
2.Turn the power on to the light circuit and check that all bulbs are operating. The Red bulb is placed in the left most fixture and the Yellow and Orange follow in that order. See Figure 10.
NOTE: If any bulbs need replacing, see Replacing Light Bulbs, page 13. Be careful not to tear or damage the reflective strips. If they have come loose, the ends can be easily reattached or replaced at the support brackets. See - Replacing Reflecting Ribbons, page 18.
4.Center the log bed over the opening and in between the screen and grate.
5.Cover the remaining hearth area with a ¼” layer of lava rock provided.

PRODUCT FEATURES AND CONTROL OPERATION
Models (V)E36/32L series electronic fireplaces feature a random flame effect, and realistic log bed with glistening embers that can be adjusted for flame speed and light intensity.
Models (V)E36/32LH have an added circulating heater, rated at 1100 W.
In addition to a heater, the models E36/32LB and E36/32LBH include a hand detailed, textured
The controls can be accessed by pulling on the top outer edges of the uppermost louver until the panel releases from the magnetic catches on each side and swings down to the open position. See Figure 11.
Figure 12 shows the control layout for heater equipped models with the main power switch to the flame controls and the heater power switch (when equipped) to the heating unit. This allows independent and efficient operation of both features.
Once main power is turned on, flame speed and brightness may be turned on and adjusted independently.
A slow flame speed creates a soothing appearance of a romantic fire while a high flame speed invites the presence of a warm roaring fire.
The flame brightness may be adjusted to accommodate a particular mood or | Figure 11 - Accessing Controls | |
