24 Setting Up the Printer On a Network

Note: With Windows Vista, if you see the AutoPlay window, click Run Epsetup.exe. When you see the User Account Control screen, click Continue.

Note: If you see messages asking if you want to install or run various installation programs, select Continue, Continue Anyway, or Install this driver software anyway.

Installing the Software for Windows

For Windows, you need to add the printer’s network port, then install the software. For instructions on adding the network port, see the Network Guide on the printer CD or on your computer.

1.Turn on your computer and your printer.

2.Insert the printer software CD-ROM in your computer. The installer

starts automatically. If it doesn’t start, double-click My Computer,

> Computer, or Start > My Computer. Then double-click your CD-ROM icon.

3.Read the license agreement and click Agree.

4.Click Install.
