Adjusting exposure compensation (SEV)

Use this menu for shots to get the correct brightness (exposure), such as shots with extremely high contrast between the subject and the background.

•Very bright scenes (such as snowfields) and highly reflective

•Shots made up predominantly of sky: +1 EV
•Spotlit subjects, particularly against dark backgrounds:

Any of the following disables exposure compensation:
•Using the flash in AUTO or b mode
•Shooting dark scenes in d mode
