6.1Equipping rules
The 6 slots for each CPU for the main memory are divided into two banks (bank 1 and bank 2) with 3 channels each (A, B and C).

Independent Channel Mode
–Allows all channels to be equipped in any order.
–Works with DIMMs of different clock frequencies and sets them at the lowest frequency.
–Works with both UDIMM memory modules and RDIMM memory modules.
Mirrored Channel Mode
–Requires identical modules on channels A & B (1st CPU) and on C & D (2nd CPU).
–Half of the capacity is used for mirroring – the available memory for applica- tions amounts to just half of the installed memory.
–Channel C (1st CPU) or channel F (2nd CPU) are not available in this mode.
–RDIMM memory modules are supported.
