Harddrive backplane This boardincludes the connectors for the
harddrives. This board also contains the
interconnectfor the front I/O board, Power
and Locator buttons, and system/component
status LEDs.
Eachdrive has its own Power/Activity, Fault,
and Ready-to-Remove LEDs.
FrontI/O board Thisboard connects directly to the hard drive
backplane. This board is packaged with the
DVD drive as a single unit.
Cable Description
Topcover interlock cable Thiscable connects the safety interlock switch
on the top cover to the power distribution
board.
Ribbon cable This cable carries signals between the power
distribution boardand themotherboard.
Harddrive data cable This cable carries data and controlsignals
between the motherboardand the hard drive
backplane.
