Tutorials
All operating systems and most application software have tutorials built into them. We recommend that you step through the tutorial before you use an application.
Manuals
Included with your notebook you will find manuals for your installed operating system and other pre- installed software. Any manuals that are not included are available using the software’s Help menu. We recommend that you review these manuals for general information on the use of these applications.
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files from across all of the major computing platforms.
EverNote
EverNote allows you to capture, store and access a variety of documents, such as typed and handwritten memos, webpage excerpts, emails, phone messages, addresses, passwords, sketches, and documents.
Portshutter
Portshutter helps to prevent unintended dissemination of data by allowing you to set policies for your system that will restrict which ports are availalble to the end user. With Portshutter, you can:
•Allow no USB devices or only specified USB devices to be used
•Prevent confidential information from being copied to removable devices
•Prevent the connection of external devices, through which illicit or harmful programs might be installed or confidential or personal information might be accessed
•Temporarily restrict the use of ports when the computer is left unattended.
