Be sure electrical power is off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range.

If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip device

is re-engaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take this precaution could

result in tipping of the range and cause injury.

Griddle

NOTES:
The griddle is to be used on the center
burner grate only.
Do not clean the griddle in a dishwasher.
Thoroughly clean the griddle of grease and
food particles, using a square-edged spatula,
while it is still hot.
Wipe the griddle with a dry, heavy, coarse
cloth to remove any remaining residue and
food particles.
Wash with hot soapy water, rinse and dry.
Once the griddle has cooled, rub the
surface lightly with vegetable oil. Do not use
corn oil or cooking sprays as they get sticky.
If the griddle is cleaned with anything other
than a dry, heavy, coarse cloth, it will need
to be reseasoned.
Never flood the hot griddle with cold water.
This could cause the griddle to crack or
warp.
As the griddle is used and seasoned, it may
change color over time.

Griddle Precautions:

If something has spilled under the griddle, it
should be cleaned up as soon as possible to
prevent “baked on” food soil.
Do not allow grease to accumulate under the
griddle as it can be a fire hazard. Clean under the
griddle as soon as it is cool. Clean with hot soapy
water.
