CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT

1.Start the engine in the open air and allow it to reach its normal operating temperature.

2. Place the throttle lever in “SLOW” position

3.Screw the pilot screw [1] in or out until you reach the highest idle speed. Generally, the correct setting is found: 1 5/8 turns from the fully in position.

4.When the pilot screw is correctly adjusted, turn the throttle stop screw [2] to obtain the specified idle speed.

Specified idle speed: 1700 ± 150 rpm

CAUTION

•If you do not have the required skills or equipment, it is recommended to ask your Honda dealer for adjustment.

BLADE CLUTCH LEVER FREE PLAY

Measure the free play [3] at the top of the lever [5] by holding the yellow button [4] pressed in. It must be between 5 and 10 mm.

If necessary:

1. Loosen locknuts [6] using a 10 mm spanner and move the adjuster [7] up or down as required.

RÉGLAGE DU CARBURATEUR

1.Mettre le moteur en route à l’extérieur et attendre qu’il atteigne sa température normale de fonctionnement.

2.Placer la manette de commande des gaz en position “LENT” .

3.Visser ou dévisser la vis pilote [1] jusqu’au réglage qui produit le régime de ralenti le plus élevé.

Le plus souvent, le réglage correct est : 1 5/8 tours vers l’extérieur à partir de la position fermée complète.

4.Après avoir réglé correctement la vis pilote, tourner la vis de butée des gaz [2] pour obtenir la vitesse de ralenti normale.

Vitesse de ralenti normale : 1700 ± 150 tr/mn.

PRÉCAUTION :

•Si vous n’avez pas les compétences ou l’équipement nécessaires à cette opération, il est recommandé de confier ce réglage à un concessionnaire Honda.

JEU AU LEVIER D’EMBRAYAGE DE LAME

Mesurer le jeu [3] au sommet du levier [5] en maintenant le bouton jaune [4] enfoncé. Le jeu doit être compris entre 5 et 10 mm.

Le cas échéant :

1.Desserrer les écrous de blocage [6] avec une clé de 10 mm et déplacer le régleur [7] vers le haut ou le bas comme nécessaire.
