1. Move the throttle control to the “STOP” position [D].

1.Move the throttle control to the “SLOW” position [C].

2.Release the flywheel brake lever.

All models:

3. Turn the fuel cock “OFF” [1].

FLOODED ENGINE

If the engine still refuses to start after several pulls on the starter, the engine may be flooded.

To clear a flooded engine:

1.Place the throttle lever in “STOP” position [D].

2.Remove and dry the spark plug. When refitting the spark plug, screw it up until it is finger tight and correctly seated. Then using the plug spanner, tighten it an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn so that the washer is correctly compressed.

3.Next, place the throttle lever in “FAST” position [B] and repeat the operations previously mentionned under the heading “Starting the engine”.

2.Relâcher le levier de frein de lame.

3. Tourner le robinet d’arrivée d’essence sur la position “ARRÊT” [1].

MOTEUR NOYÉ

Si le moteur refuse toujours de démarrer après plusieurs tractions exercées sur le lanceur, il se peut alors qu’il soit noyé.

Pour désengorger un moteur noyé :

1.Placer le levier de commande des gaz sur la position “ARRÊT” [D].

2.Retirer et sécher la bougie d’allumage. Lorsque l’on remet la bougie en place, la visser à la main jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit en appui. Puis, avec la clé à bougie, la serrer d’1/8 à 1/4 de tour supplémentaire pour bien comprimer la rondelle.

3.Mettre ensuite le levier de commande des gaz sur la position “RAPIDE” [B] et répéter les

opérations précédentes mentionnées à la rubrique “Mise en marche du moteur”.
