BLADE SHARPENING

1.Sharpen the blade cutting edges with a file. File the top side only. Maintain the original bevel for a fine cutting edge. File both ends evenly to maintain blade balance.

2.After sharpening, test the blade’s balance using a screwdriver as shown. If either side dips slightly below the horizontal, file that side. Replace the blade if it dips excessively.

CAUTION:

•To avoid weakening the blade, causing it to become unbalanced or getting a bad quality of cut, the blade should be sharpened by competent personnel at your Honda dealer’s.

BLADE REPLACEMENT

CAUTION:

•Blade balance is critical to proper mower performance. Replace any blade that is damaged or out of balance. Use only genuine Honda replacement blades.

BLADE FITTING

1.Clean the dirt and grass from around the blade assembly area.

2.Fit blade [2] using the two bolts [1] and special washers [4] as shown. Fit the special washers with their concave side facing the blade and the convex side facing the bolts. The blade bolts are specially designed for this purpose. Do not use other bolts.

1.Affûter les bords tranchants de la lame avec une lime. N’affûter que le bord supérieur. Conserver le biseau d’origine afin d’avoir une arête coupante très acérée. Il est recommandé d’aiguiser les deux extrémités de manière égale, afin de maintenir l’équilibre de la lame.

2.Après l’affûtage, vérifier l’équilibre de la lame en utilisant un tournevis comme illustré. Si l’un ou l’autre des bords penche légèrement sous l’horizontale, il faut à nouveau aiguiser ce côté.

PRÉCAUTION :

•Afin d’éviter l’affaiblissement des lames, de provoquer leur déséquilibre ou d’obtenir une coupe de mauvaise qualité, il est préférable de confier l’aiguisage de la lame au personnel compétent d’un concessionnaire agréé Honda.

REMPLACEMENT DE LA LAME

PRÉCAUTION :

•L’équilibre de la lame est essentiel pour obtenir de bonnes performances de coupe. Il faut donc changer toute lame qui serait endommagée ou dont l’équilibre ne peut être rétabli. N’utiliser qu’une lame de rechange d’origine Honda.

REMONTAGE DE LA LAME

1.Nettoyer la saleté et l’herbe se trouvant autour de la zone de montage de la lame.

2.Installer la lame [2] en utilisant les 2 vis [1] et les rondelles spéciales [4] comme illustré. Les vis de lames sont spécialement conçues pour cet usage. Ne pas utiliser d’autres vis.
