PREPARATIONS AND CHECKS BEFORE USE

 

CHECKING ENGINE OIL LEVEL

CAUTION:

•The engine oil is an essential element which affects the performance and lifetime of the engine.

•The engine may be seriously damaged if run with insufficient oil. We recommend the use of Honda 4-stroke oil or an equivalent quality engine oil which is highly detergent. Oil viscosity must be appropriate for the average temperature in the zone where the mower has to be used.

[2]AMBIENT TEMPERATURE To check engine oil level:

1. Place the mower on level ground.

2. Remove the oil filler cap and wipe the dipstick [3].

3. Replace the dipstick in the filler neck but do not screw it down.

4.Check the level of the oil left on the dipstick. If the level is near the low level mark [4], add the recommended oil up to the high level mark [5].

5.Screw the oil filler cap.

VÉRIFICATION DU NIVEAU DE L’HUILE MOTEUR

PRÉCAUTION :

•L’huile moteur est un élément essentiel qui influe sur les performances du moteur ainsi que sur sa durée de vie.

•Faire tourner le moteur avec une quantité d’huile insuffisante peut gravement endommager ce dernier. Il est recommandé d’employer une huile Honda 4 temps ou encore une huile pour moteur de qualité équivalente et hautement détergente. Il convient de choisir la viscosité appropriée à la température moyenne de la zone d’utilisation.

[2]TEMPERATURE AMBIANTE Pour vérifier le niveau d’huile moteur :

1. Mettre la tondeuse sur un sol de niveau.

2. Retirer le bouchon de remplissage d’huile et essuyer la jauge [3].

3. Remettre la jauge dans le goulot de remplissage, mais sans la visser.

4.Vérifier la marque du niveau d’huile laissée sur la jauge. Si cette dernière est proche du repère de niveau inférieur [4] rajouter l’huile préconisée jusqu’au repère de niveau supérieur [5].

5.Revisser le bouchon de remplissage.
