2.Retighten the locknuts [6] and recheck the free play.

3.Start the engine in the open air and operate the blade control lever [3].

NOTE: Check that the blade starts to rotate when you push the lever forward, and that it stops rapidly when the lever is released. If the blade does not start to rotate or stop as it should, even when the cable is correctly adjusted, the system may need to be repaired. Bring the mower to an approved Honda dealer.

FLYWHEEL BRAKE INSPECTION

1.Remove the recoil starter [1] by removing the three 6 mm nuts [2].

2.Remove the fuel tank [8] taking care not to disconnect the fuel tube [9] from the fuel tank and fuel valve, and keeping the fuel tank at level.

3.Check the brake shoe thickness [10]. If it is less than 3 mm (0.12 in), replace it with new one.

4.Install the fuel tank [8] and recoil starter [1], and tighten the three 6 mm nuts [2] securely.

2.Resserrer les écrous de blocage [6] et revérifier le jeu.

3.Démarrer le moteur à l’extérieur et faire fonctionner le levier de commande de lame [3].

NOTE : Vérifier que la lame se met en route lorsque vous poussez le levier vers l’avant et s’arrête rapidement lorsque vous le relâchez. Si la lame ne se met pas en route ou ne s’arrête pas comme elle devrait, alors que le réglage du câble est correct, il est possible qu’une réparation soit nécessaire. Montrer la tondeuse à un concessionnaire agréé Honda.

CONTRÔLE DU FREIN DE VOLANT MOTEUR

1.Déposer le lanceur [1] en retirant les trois écrous de 6 mm [2].

2.Enlever le réservoir d’essence [8] en faisant attention à ne pas déconnecter le tuyau d’essence [9] du réservoir et du robinet d’essence, et en gardant le réservoir d’essence de niveau.

3.Vérifier l’épaisseur de la mâchoire de frein [10]. Si elle est inférieure à 3 mm, la remplacer par une neuve.

4.Reposer le réservoir d’essence [8] et le lanceur [1], et serrer à fond les trois écrous de

6 mm [2].
