TRANSPORTING THE MOWER

 

WARNING :

Do not tilt the mower since this may cause fuel or oil spillage; spilt fuel or even fuel vapours are a fire hazard.

To transport the mower:

1.Place the throttle lever in “STOP” position.

2.Pull off the spark plug cap.

To facilitate the operation:

1. Remove the grass bag (see pages 29 and 67).

2.Loosen the handle attachment knobs [1], pull out the adjustment stops [2] and fold the handle [3]. NOTE: After folding the handle, check that the cables are not kinked, twisted or stretched.

LOADING THE MOWER

CAUTION:

To prevent losing control of or damaging the mower, do not use the drive system when going up or down a loading ramp.

To prevent damaging the drive system, do not engage the clutch when the mower is rolling backwards.

Transport the mower in normal horizontal position with its four wheels flat on the vehicle platform.

We recommend that you use a loading ramp or that you get someone to help you load and unload the mower.

Adjust the loading ramp so that it is inclined at an angle of less than 15°.

When transporting the mower, immobilise it using straps and place chocks under the wheels.

The straps must not touch the following parts of the mower: throttle lever, blade clutch lever, gas tank and all the control cables.

Pour ne pas risquer de répandre de l’essence ou de l’huile, ne pas incliner la tondeuse ; de l’essence répandue ou encore des vapeurs d’essence risquent de prendre feu.

Pour transporter la tondeuse :

1.Mettre le levier de commande des gaz sur la position “ARRET”.

2.Enlever le capuchon de la bougie.

Retirer le sac de ramassage (voir pages 29 et 67).

Desserrer les molettes de serrage [1], déboîter les butées de réglage [2] et replier le guidon [3].

NOTE : Après avoir plié le guidon, vérifier si les câbles ne sont pas noués, tordus ou encore trop tendus.

CHARGEMENT DE LA TONDEUSE

PRÉCAUTION :

Pour éviter tout risque de perte de contrôle ou d’endommagement de la tondeuse, ne pas utiliser le système de traction lorsqu’on fait monter ou descendre la tondeuse sur une rampe de chargement.

Pour éviter d’endommager le système de traction, ne pas enclencher l’embrayage lorsque la tondeuse roule en marche arrière.

Transporter la tondeuse en position horizontale normale, ses quatre roues étant à plat sur la plate-forme du véhicule.

Il est recommandé d’avoir recours à une rampe de chargement ou de se faire aider par quelqu’un pour charger ou décharger la tondeuse.

Régler la rampe de chargement de façon à ce que son angle d’inclinaison soit inférieur à 15°.

Lorsqu’on transporte la tondeuse, l’immobiliser à l’aide de sangles et placer des cales sous les roues.

Les sangles ne doivent pas toucher les parties suivantes de la tondeuse : le levier de commande des gaz, le levier de l’embrayage de lame, le réservoir d’essence, ainsi que l’ensemble des câbles de commande.
