Certificate of volatility

This is a statement regarding the volatility of customer data stored in memory. It also outlines how to securely erase data from the product.

Types of memory

Volatile memory

The product utilizes 192 MB of volatile memory (SDRAM) used for temporary storage during the process of jobs, and for applications running on the operating system. When the printer is powered off, the memory is erased.

Non-volatile memory

The product utilizes 2.1 GB of non-volatile memory (EEPROM, Flash) containing the boot code and factory product configuration data required for the device to function. No customer print data is stored in non-volatile memory. There are no steps to clear this data.
