When Does the Printer Try to Nest Pages?

When all the following are true:

The printer is loaded with roll paper rather than sheet paper.

In the front-panel menus, Queue is ON (the default). See page What is the Queue?

In the front-panel menus, Nest is ON. See page Turning Nesting On and Off.

Which Pages Qualify for Nesting?

In order to be in the same nest, the individual pages must be compatible on the following criteria:

Color or grayscale.

NOTE: Either all are color or all are grayscale.

 

• Files must be at the same dots per inch setting.

 

• All pages must have the same print quality setting (Best, Normal, Draft).

 

• Margin sizes must be the same for all pages (normal or extended).

 

• All pages must be the same graphics language.
