Removing the Fan from the Hard Disk Drive Area
This section provides the procedure for removing the cooling fan from the back of the hard disk drive chassis. To remove memory cards, you will need to remove this fan.
To remove the fan from the hard disk drive chassis, follow these steps:
1.Lay the system unit on its side and on a cushioned surface to avoid cosmetic damage to the system unit’s exterior.
2.Remove the system unit’s side panel. See the section “Opening the Left Side Panel of the System Unit” in this chapter.
3.Prop up the power supply. See the section “Propping Up the Power Supply” in this chapter.
