Changing Your Monitor Type
Setting the Monitor Type Using SAM
This method for setting the monitor type requires the use of the HP CDE interface. This means that you should have already set your monitor type using one of the methods defined in a previous section, or you have an Instant Ignition system that boots up using the HP CDE interface.
To use the System Administration Manager (SAM) to set the monitor type, follow the steps in this procedure:
1.Log in as root.
2.Move the mouse pointer to the Application Manager control for tools and click the left mouse button. Alternatively you can execute sam at a terminal window command prompt and skip to step 5.
3.Double click on the System_Admin icon in the Application Manager window.
