Removal and replacement procedures

When replacing the system board, be sure that the following additional components are removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:

■Fan/heat sink assembly (see “Heat sink/fan assembly or heat sink” on page 4-52)

■Processor (see “Processor” on page 4-57)

Remove the system board:

1.Turn the computer display-side up.

2.Position the computer with the right side toward you.

3.Disconnect the following cables from the system board: 1 Modem cable

2 Audio board cable

3 USB board cable

4 Fan cable
