Choosing Order to Play Unheard Messages

With Nextel Voice Mail service, you can select the order you want unheard messages to be played in. You may listen to the last received message first. Or, you may listen to the first received message first. To select the order new messages should be played in, follow the steps below:

1Log into Voice Mail. (See“Logging Into Voice Mail” on page 40.)

2Press 4to access Personal Options Menu.

3Press 4to access Personal Preferences.

4Press 2to access Playback Preferences.

5Press 1to select preference. Follow the prompts until you have set your desired preferences.

6Exit Voice Mail (see “About Voice Mail Menus” on page 40) or hang up to end the call.

Customizing Your Voice Mail Setup

Changing Your Password

To change your current password follow the steps below:

1Log into voice mail (see “Logging Into Voice Mail” on page 40 and fol- low steps 1 through 6).

2Press 4to access Personal Options.

3Press 4to access Personal Preferences.

4Press 1to modify password.

5Enter your new password (four- to seven digits).

6Exit Voice Mail (see “About Voice Mail Menus” on page 40) or hang up to end the call.

For security purposes, it is recommended that you do not choose sequential or repeated digits like 1-2-3-4 or 5-5-5-5 for your password.
