| Fast Boot | YES means that optional selftests will not be executed and that tests on some inter- |
|
| faces and devices such as graphics will be minimized. Because |
|
| require that console and all graphics devices be initialized before control is given to |
|
| the OS, it is strongly recommended that Fast Boot be left at NO. |
|
|
|
| Secure Mode | YES means that console input will not be enabled. |
|
|
|
| Auto Boot | YES means that at power on or reset, an attempt will be made to locate and boot |
| Select | from a boot device. |
|
|
|
| Diagnostics to | YES means that chassis codes will be sent to the |
| initialized to operate at 9600 baud, 8 bits per byte and no parity. If this device is | |
|
| the console, the console should have the same operating parameters. (these are the |
|
| default parameters for |
|
| A and the parameters must be different (e.g. 19200 baud) then Diagnostics to RS- |

| Error Logging | YES means that chassis codes will be sent to an OEM supplied routine. The sup- |

| Interactive ISL | YES means that when ISL is executed, it will stop and ask for commands. |

| NO means that when ISL is executed, it will attempt to execute the commands in |
|
| the AUTO file. |

|
|
| Repeat Scan for | YES means that if the attempt to locate a boot device fails, start at the beginning of |
| Auto Boot | the search list and try again. This process will continue indefinitely. |
