OUTFENCE

The OUTFENCE command de￿nes the minim um priority that an output spool ￿le must have in order to prin t.

Parameters

outputpriority

Speci￿es a number between 1 and 14, inclusiv e. Spool ￿le

 

printing becomes increasingly limited as the n umbers become

 

higher. For example, the number 1 limits spool ￿le prin ting the

 

least. The number 14 limits spool ￿le prin ting the most.

 

The system prin ts individual spool ￿les in the ready state only

 

if their outputpriority is higher than the curren t outfence.

LDEV

Speci￿es the logical device n umber, ldev , of a printer. You can

 

use this parameter to selectiv ely defer all output spool ￿les

 

except those currently being printed by the speci￿ed LDEV.

DEV

Consists of the follo wing parameter values:

 

ldev

Speci￿es the logical device n umber of an

 

 

output device.

 

devclass

Speci￿es a device class con taining at least one

 

 

printer. This parameter value must begin

 

 

with a letter and consist of eigh t or fewer

 

 

alphanumeric characters. The device class

 

 

name and device name cannot be the same.

 

devname

Speci￿es the name of the prin ter. This

 

 

parameter value must begin with a letter
