RESUME

RESUME

The RESUME command resumes execution of a program or subsystem command that was suspended after y ou pressed the 4Break5 key. The program resumes at the point where execution w as suspended.

Operation Notes

Usage

You can only enter this command in break mode. Y ou cannot enter this command from a job, a program, or a session (unless in break mode). Pressing 4Break5 does not a￿ect this command.

Entering commands other than RESUME

If you enter a program or subsystem command after pressing 4Break5, the command interpreter prints the following message on y our terminal: ABORT? (YES/NO) . If you respond YES to the message, the command in terpreter aborts the curren tly suspended program. If y ou respond NO to the message, the command interpreter prints the message COMMAND NOT ALLOWED IN BREAK and prompts you for another command. If y ou now enter RESUME , the suspended program resumes at the poin t where it was interrupted.

You can enter most commands after pressing 4Break5. Only the commands that create processes require y ou to resume or abort the in terrupted program.
