SECURE

This command reinstates all ￿le securit y provisions that y ou previously suspended with the RELEASE command.

Syntax

SECURE ￿lereference

Parameters

￿lereference Speci￿es the actual ￿le designator for whic h you want to reinstate ￿le access con trol. The ￿lereference can be either in MPE or HFS syntax.

MPE Syntax

If the ￿lereference does not begin with a dot or a slash, it is parsed according to the MPE syn tax and has the form:

￿lename[/lockword][.groupname[.acctname]]

If the ￿le has a lockword, you must specify it; otherwise, the system prompts y ou for it. If y ou do not specify groupname.acctname , the system assumes the logon group and account.

HFS Syntax

If the ￿lename begins with a dot (.) or a slash (/), it is parsed according to HFS syn tax.

Operation Notes

Usage

You can enter this command from a session, a job, a program, or in break mode. Pressing 4Break5 does not a￿ect this command.

You can use this command only for permanen t disk ￿les you created. Under default system securit y provisions, the ￿le must be in your logon account and must belong to your logon or home group.
