STREAMS

Requirements

The system administrator m ust enable the streams device ev ery time that the system is restarted in order to enable y ou to stream jobs. If y ou attempt to stream a job when the streams facilit y is disabled, the follo wing message appears:

STREAM FACILITY NOT ENABLED: SEE OPERATOR. (CIERR 82)

Selecting the streams device

The streams device is normally LDEV 10. Y our system administrator kno ws the LDEV for the streams device.

To enable jobs and data streams on logical device n umber 10, enter:
