Appendix B • Working with Rational RequisitePro

When synchronizing requirements, Quality Center adds the RequisitePro prefix tag as part of the requirement name.

When synchronizing requirements, if a RequisitePro Name field is empty, the Synchronizer uses the first 128 characters of the RequisitePro Text field instead. In addition, if the Name field contains any of the following characters, the Synchronizer replaces them with the underscore character:

RequisitePro Connection Properties

The following settings are available when connecting to a RequisitePro endpoint. For more information on defining the connection settings to endpoints, see “Creating Links” on page 45.

User name. The user name for a RequisitePro user. This user must have one or more of the following event permissions: requirement creation, requirement modification, and requirement deletion. The permissions needed depend on the event options defined in the Events tab.

Password. The password for the user you specified.

Project. The name of the project whose data you want to synchronize. The project must exist on the RequisitePro client machine. The project must also be visible for the user configured to log on to the Synchronizer as a service.
