Removing the Memory Expansion Board
The memory modules are located on the memory expansion board. To remove the memory expansion board in order to install additional memory:
1.Shut down the operating system properly, then turn off the workstation and any external devices. Disconnect the power cord from the grounded AC outlet.
2.Remove the workstation access panel. See “Removing the Workstation Access Panel” in this chapter.
3.Remove the metal shipping bracket that extends above the memory expansion card. Return the screw to the side of the air plenum located at the front of the workstation.
4.Locate the memory expansion board that is connected to the system board.
