Periodically, the TiVo Digital Video Recorder dials in to the TiVo service via your telephone line. If you pick up your telephone during the time information is being transferred, you will hear static noise. If you would like to use your telephone while the information is being transferred, you can hang up, wait about 45 seconds, and pick up your telephone again. If the transfer is interrupted, it will resume at a later time.
